May was a month of celebration—not only for the award, but also for World Turtle Day. As many of you know, our logo proudly features a turtle, and with good reason. Lhaviyani Atoll is home to the largest green turtle population in the Maldives, and our own house reef is home to around 30 resident hawksbill turtles. Swimming with turtles is often a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list moment—here at Komandoo, it’s an everyday possibility.
