Greetings from sunny Komandoo!
It’s been ‘business as usual’ here in the Maldives – sun, sand, sparkling Indian Ocean, beautiful sunsets and of course, being surrounded by happy guests!
Conditions for diving have been great with lots of our guests either trying the activity for the first time or enjoying adventures to our incredible reefs. Diving and snorkelling are set to become even more thrilling in the coming weeks as the Lhaviyani Atoll manta season begins – the first mantas of the season have already been sighted and we look forward to the sound of excited chatter and flapping arms (the underwater sign for manta!) as boats return to the jetty after having encountered these magnificent creatures.
You’ll see a few new faces during your next visit as our team is growing, and we are all looking forward to spending time with you this high season and beyond. You’ll find us preparing your favourite drink, cooking eggs just the way you like them and displaying our famous Komandoo smiles from the minute you arrive – it’s often said on Komandoo that strangers are just friends you’ve not met before!
In other news, we’ve been busy crafting some new optional Komandoo experiences that you may like to add to your holiday itinerary – keep a close watch on the Komandoo App and build your bespoke holiday plan there as soon as you have your confirmed reservation. Those of you who have stayed with us before will know what a great job our Housekeeping team do and we have shown our appreciation during International Housekeeping week – we’re sure you’ll be impressed with their bed decorating skills if you celebrate a special occasion during your stay with us.
Since looking after the environment is very close to our hearts here at Komandoo, we were very glad to be able to join the global environmental event ‘Clean Up the World’ along with our colleagues at Prodivers and guests too. Rubbish drifting in on ocean currents is continually cleaned from the islands, it’s mostly plastic based and shows the importance of switching to more environmentally friendly alternatives as we have at our resort.
With the festive season fast approaching you may be thinking about escaping to experience a Christmas holiday in the tropics where you can leave the chaos behind and simply enjoy the moments we have curated, if so, don’t leave it too long to book, there is still some availability but it’s going quickly. High season is always a popular time in the Maldives so if you can’t find availability for your preferred dates, check the offers and enjoy a discounted stay another time – whenever you visit, a wonderful time is guaranteed!
We look forward to welcoming you to Komandoo very soon.
Sun, Sea & Sand Regards,
The Komandoo Champions
