Divers Return to Komandoo

It’s been a happy few weeks here at Komandoo Maldives – we love nothing more than looking after our guests so to see our charming little resort coming back to life has been incredible. Everyone’s idea of a perfect holiday is different and while some loved relaxing on the beach and in the pool, others took to the reefs for scuba diving adventures with our team at Prodivers Dive Center, and what an exciting time they had!

Setting off each morning for a couple of dives at different reefs, they had their own private boat with personal guides and had some amazing encounters, most notably with sharks. Nurse sharks, Grey Reefs and Black Tips all came close to the divers, they seemed to be even more curious than usual – probably wondering why these ‘bubble blowing creatures’ had been missing for so long! It wasn’t all about the sharks though, an incredible amount of schooling fish, green turtles, hawksbill turtles and eagle rays were also seen across a lot of the dive sites.

With manta season about to kick off, now is a great time to visit us for diving and snorkelling, but if you prefer to keep your feet firmly on the soft white sand, there are many other reasons to visit Komandoo too! We hope to welcome you very soon.
