If you’ve taken the plunge and decided to ditch the traditional Christmas at home in favour of jetting to Komandoo for a tropical take on the festive season, you are in for a treat! Not only will you be in the perfect place in which to relax and recuperate after a busy year, but if you want a little more than sun, sea, and sand at a friendly boutique resort, our Festive Program will sprinkle your festive season with highlights to remember. The white sandy beaches, sparkling warm seas and endless smiles of our attentive Champions come as standard!

On 23rd December, to get into the festive spirit, learn how to make delicious Christmas Cookies with the help of our culinary team. In the evening there’s an opportunity to treat yourselves to our special ‘Fine Dining Experience’ event at Aqua Beach. It promises to be an evening of gastronomic magnificence where you will feast on a sumptuous menu paired with fine wines. This is a chargeable event and reservations can be made nearer the time via the Resort App. Since you chose the Maldives as your festive destination, don’t miss the traditional Bodu Beru drumming at Kandu Bar after dinner for a cultural end to your day.

Christmas Eve sees tradition meet with tropical with the underwater treasure hunt, the manager’s Christmas Cocktail Party and the spectacular Gala Dinner – make sure you take the opportunity to take photos before the creations are devoured! On Christmas Day, despite Komandoo being an adult’s only sanctuary, Santa still puts us on his travel list and he usually arrives in the morning so, if you’ve been very very good this year, be ready to catch a glimpse of him!

Between Christmas and New Year, there will be two Chef’s Table private dining events (chargeable with reservations required), lots of opportunities for adventure and, since you chose the Maldives as your festive destination, we included a Maldivian Handicraft Show, Taste Of The Maldives Dinner Buffet and a Maldivian Cultural Show -‘Bodu Beru Drumming’ in our celebrations. Remember to sip champagne, watch magnificent the sunrises and sunsets, take a cruise by starlight, learn some new culinary skills from our talented chefs, and enjoy live entertainment.

On New Year’s Eve, to round off the festivities, and the year 2022, we have a special Pre-Dinner Management Cocktail Party Thundi Bar, a sumptuous New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner Buffet at Falhu Restaurant, and a the opportunity to dance the night away culminating in a countdown of the last moments of 2022 and welcome of 2023. New Year’s Day will see the Champagne Raffle Draw – we’ll keep our fingers crossed for you!
