Greetings from the Maldives! We’ve had a wonderful month here at Komandoo and have enjoyed being part of many special holidays. It’s truly wonderful to see the smiles and looks of blissful relaxation appear just minutes after arrival – Komandoo really is the tonic the soul needs.

The spotlight during June has shone on the environment with the celebrations of World Environment Day and World Oceans Day, both very worthy causes that seek to bring attention to the importance of not only looking after our natural surroundings but actively restoring and revitalising them too with a special focus this year on the issue of plastic pollution.

Towards the end of June, our local community celebrated Eid ul-Adha, one of the holiest holidays of the Islamic calendar and we would like to wish Eid Mubarak to all our friends and family across the world who celebrated this holy festival. Later this month, on 26th July, Maldives Independence Day will celebrate 58 years of independence and we still have fantastic festive season celebrations to look forward to at the end of the year. We have been very busy planning a wonderful Christmas and New Year and will soon be able to share the plans with you – keep an eye on our blog and social media accounts for sneak previews of what lies ahead.
