Dream view ? When we were booking our Maldives trip, there was a posing question: a water villa or beach villa? We were lucky enough to experience both, and few people have asked us since what do we prefer. I have to be honest, I’ve always been tempted to try a water villa, even that I’m hands down a “villa with my own beach” type of girl. At the end of the day, both of them are equally amazing and it comes down to a personal preference. ⁣ ⁣ Beach villa is my personal favourite, because to me nothing can beat that feeling you get when you wake up in the morning, make three steps down the stairs and your feet are touching white sand and warm tropical water. Throughout our stay at the beach villa, my favourite thing was to seat in front of it in shallow waters watching all the fishes coming right to you. I love enjoying sand under my feet and having a direct access to a private beach with water right in front of you is the dream. ⁣ ⁣ Water villa brought it’s own amazing surprises. Our villa was facing the ocean, so you can enjoy the sunrise or sunset. It is amazing to watch the sun going down the horizon in serenity, sitting at your own deck with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine (whatever you fancy) in your hand. Water villa truly allows for that seclusion: you are alone on the deck, noone can occasionally pass in front of your room and the stairs going down into turquoise water are all yours: thats something very unique. Water villa’s seclusion and serenity let’s you do whatever you like, whether you fancy to sunbathe at the deck au naturel or take a jacuzzi with your partner while overlooking the ocean. In the evening, because the decks are lid up from underneath, you can watch the sharks or other fishes swimming and hunting at night. ⁣ ⁣ So if I would to give someone an advise, I’d say stay in a beach villa, but do allow for a day or two to experience a water villa. I’ve met a lot of people at Maldives who absolutely obsessed with water villas, whilst the others love beach villas, so if you can, do try both ? ⁣ check the stories for the videos of both villas ?
