Swim with turtles at Komandoo

If swimming with turtles has always been a dream of yours, the Maldives is one of the best places to make the dream come true. While many resorts across the country offer excursions where you can see these ancient creatures, what you’ll love when staying at Komandoo is its winning combination of an easily accessible house reef and a large resident population of hawksbill turtles. This is perfect if you’re an ocean lover who also appreciates the convenience of having great marine life opportunities literally on the villa doorstep.

Spend enough time snorkelling or scuba diving on the reef and you’ll surely spot a turtle – a whopping 26 hawksbill and 3 green sea turtle appear to permanently reside on Komandoo’s house reef (plus one in our resort’s logo!).

Turtles are one of the most filmed underwater models in Lhaviyani Atoll, and below are some photos and videos taken by our guests and team – on Komandoo’s house reef and other sites in the atoll – to inspire you to have meaningful, sustainable and exciting encounters with turtles in their natural habitat yourself during your forthcoming holiday at the turtle-loving Komandoo!
